The mission of the Mid-Canada Marine and Powersports Dealers Association is to promote the marine and powersports industry in Manitoba.

The Mid-Canada Marine and Powersports Dealers Association (MMPDA) was founded through the efforts of its first President, Ed Rondeau of Rond's Marine. Ed perceived and put into play a working marine dealers group that would promote the boating industry, not only in the Province of Manitoba but in the Kenora area as well.

Ed's vision included the hiring of a Boat Show Manager to work closely with an elected Boat Show Committee to arrange and manage its own annual Boat Show in Winnipeg. The current show manager is Jim Flood of Bowline Yachts, Winnipeg. This partnership has proven to be very successful resulting in an expansion of the Show, which now utilizes all three floors of the Winnipeg Convention Centre.
